Domestic

  • CTC: Installed at KORAIL (Korea Railroad Corporation) station in Yeongju city
  • CBI: Installed in Seoul Station (33M visitors/year) as well as 200 other stations (about 40% of Korean railway)
  • AF Track Circuit: Produced around 20,000 sets (about 80% of Korean railway)
  • Axle Counter: Installed in Korea’s first commercial railway (Jinhae Hengam line)
  • ATP: Compatible interface construction with existing European system of Seoul Metro Line no. 9 (2017, Gaehwa Project)

Electronic Interlocking System

Overview

The electronic interlocking system is completely computerized to provide an interlocking function for train control. It is an independent system designed to be operated in all train services and train stations in various sizes.

Features

  • Function: Receives computerized control signals from ATS or CTC and performs railroad path approval, signal indication setting, and railroad switch controlling.
  • Safe: Fault tolerance system by dual system designs, including fail-safe function.
  • Flexible & Expandable: In case an active system fails, a standby system immediately take over the operation.
  • Convenient: provides module hot swapping function to replace faulty cards.

AF Track Circuit

Overview

Jointless AF(Audio Frequency) track circuit is a non-insulated track circuit unit designed for AC and DC subway sections. Detecting existence of the train, it can be used for both the station compound and block section and does not have a speed code.

Features

  • Function: Detects the existence of the train and the deterioration of the track by using audio frequency.
  • Non-insulated AF track circuit device can be widely used regardless of AC and DC section.
  • Easy maintenance due to the concentrated structure in signaling room.

Digital Block System

Overview

Digital block system is 100% compatible with the client ABS(Automatic Block System). The relay control unit of the ABS in the current railroad signal security equipment is digitalized. it secures swiftness of maintenance and safe train operation, maximizing its transportation efficiency.

Axle Counter

Configuration

Axle counter in crossing and trackside consists of TCLU (HSAC-100A or HSAC-100B), counter unit (TU-200), and a sensor module (WDS-200).

Features

  • Function: Detects presence of train between 2 axle counters.
  • Fiber reinforced plastics (FRP) insulator doesn’t corrode easily and allows for use in rusty railway sections.
  • Possible to detect direction (in-out) by using the dual sensor.
  • Supports various communication methods including PLC, Optical, and IP Based Network.
  • Provides long-distance communications (max. 7 km) with the minimum amount of energy (8 V / 30 mW).

AF Track Circuit Unit

Overview

Requiring the most safety among ATC units, it is an electronic circuit unit of transmission/receiving module installed in the machine room.

About Equipment

Equipment in the machine room is operated in dual-relay: it consists of sub-rack units and manages 1 track circuit section (about 50-250 meter).

Functions of Frequency Module

  • it should be able to auto-control block signal depending on the location of the train by transferring control data to and from the nearby signal system or interlocking system. it should also to transfer the error data and control lights-out.
  • Frequency transmitter/receiver should be able to operate without errors at -30C-60C.
